Rosary for Gloria Yannis, 52, of Floydada will be at 7 p.m. tonight at the Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel in Lubbock. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lubbock. Burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery in Ralls under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mrs. Yannis died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at UMC in Lubbock after a brief illness.
She was born April 11, 1952 in Taylor to the late Joel and Margarita Nunez. She married Raymond Yannis Jr. Nov. 1, 1969 in Taylor. She was a housewife and a Catholic. She moved to Floydada in 1987 from Georgetown. Survivors include her husband of Floydada; two sons, Carlos of Lubbock, and Raymond III of Shallowater; five daughters, Janet Garcia of Lubbock, Isabel and Christy, Cuba, and Daisey and Lisa Yannis, all of Floydada; a brother, John Nunez of Taylor; two sisters, Vera Vega of Georgetown and Dora Nunez of Taylor; and 12 grandchildren.
