Mary WrightMemorial services for Mary Fae Starr Wright, 80, of Ralls and San Angelo, Texas will be held on Sunday, October 9, at 10:00 am at the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls with Tim Mills officiating. Private family burial is under direction of the Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mary Wright went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Community Medical Center in San Angelo. She was born on May 24, 1931 to the late Beulah Mae Keller and Richard Eugene Starr. On February 27, 1951 she married the late Billy Bob Wright in Clovis, N.M.

She was a member of the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls where she taught classes and Vacation Bible School for approximately 50 years. Mary was a Christian first, loving wife, wonderful Mother, and devoted "Mimi". She was a longtime homemaker, delicious cook, and avid gardener. She was widely known by family, friends, and acquaintances for her smile and continually lending a "helping hand" while providing for those in need. Her years of helping with Senior Banquets and sending cards and notes will always be cherished by recipients dear to her heart. She helped Billy Bob with his efforts in the local Lions Club, as County Commissioner Precinct #4, with the Soil Conservation Service, and with the continual activities of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mary and Billy Bob were stationed in San Diego while serving in the Navy. Mary was a decorator, designer, and an excellent hostess. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren as they were the light of her life.

Survivors include her daughter, Richi and husband Don Hargrove of San Angelo; a son, Scott of Tioga, North Dakota; a sister, Johnnie Cash of Crosbyton; a brother, Jimmy Don Starr of Colleyville; six grandchildren, Heidi,(husband Paul), John(wife Haile), Harmony (husband Robert), Keith, Laura (husband Eddie), and Sarah (husband Dustin). Six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Scarlett Rose, Landon, Asher, Ryan Zachary, and Sullivan Ross were very precious to her.

Mary was a woman of integrity, honor and commitment, with a devotion to family and family responsibility. She was truly a woman who strived to live her life as "Ruth" did. She leaves behind an everlasting influence on everyone who knew her and for generations to come as "Mimi', a woman who defined a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

The family would like to thank Drs. Ayas, Chang and Adad, for their guidance, knowledge, and attention to Mary during her illness. We are also grateful to the Community Medical Hospital nurses and staff, Hospice of San Angelo, everyone at Royal Estates and all those others who brought her comfort and peace. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 8, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.

The family suggests memorials to the American Lung and Pulmonary Association, or the Lubbock Children's Home of Lubbock, P.O. Box 2824, Lubbock, TX. 79408.
