FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR RALLS YOUTH
Funeral services for Kendall Wofford, 15, fatally injured Monday afternoon while working on a highway bridge, were held Wednesday afternoon at Ralls.
Wofford was struck by an I-beam being hoisted into position on a bridge under construction on the Ralls-Post highway at about 4 p.m. He was brought to Crosbton Clinic Hospital where he died at 6:15 p.m. Monday.
A star player on last year's Ralls High school football team, he was also a Future Farmer and would have been a senior this fall. His next birthday would have been in August.
Services were conducted in the Ralls Baptist church with Rev. James E. Abernethy, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Ralls cemetery with Marr Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were eight schoolmates: Pete Blagg, Dean Henderson, Dale Roberts, C.H. Verett, Jr., Cecil Richardson, Tommy Williams, Bob Kimbrough and Bob Gustin.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wofford; a sister, Mrs. Joe Jester, Ralls, and Four brothers, Gene, Ralls; Coy, Odessa; Clarence, Canyon, and Dick, Sudan.
