Funeral Services Read For Mrs. Amelia Willis

Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia Willis, 76, who passed away Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.C. Henderson of Ballinger, were held at Ralls' First Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Rev. James Abernethy, pastor, officiated.

The choir sang Amazing Grace, Sweet By and Bye and Jesus Paid it All.

Mrs. Willis, with her husband and children, moved here from Jones county in 1908. Her death followed several years of ill health

Survivors include the husband, Rev. J.M. Willis of Ralls; three sons, John and Locke of Ralls and Willard of Anson; two daughters, Mrs. Nettis Qualls and Mrs. Lottie Henderson, both of Ballinger; and ten grandchildren. All children and their families were present for the services.

Active pallbearers were Tom Defee, T.H. Holmes, Charlie Mann. I. D. Moore, Ira Prewitt and Roy Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers included Mr. Bartlett and John Birdwell of Lubbock, Lester Bownds, Gordon Wofford, W.W. Gleaton, R.L. Kidd, C.O. Southward, J.M. Cannon and W.H. Anstead.

Other out of town relatives and friends were Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Poteet and Ruth Willis of Lubbock; Mr. and Mrs. Olen Poteet of Lockney; Mr. and Mrs. Blackie Bownds of Brownfield, Mr. and Mrs. Campdon Lawson of Crosbyton, Mrs. Willard Willis and daughter of Anson; Rev. C.C. Qualls and C.C. Henderson of Ballinger.
