
Ollie Mae Williams, a Ralls resident since 1943, was buried in Ralls Cemetery following 3 p.m. memorial services last Wednesday, May 4, in First Assembly of God Church in Ralls. Officiating were the Rev. Jerry R. Roberts, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Lubbock, and the Rev. Vance Mitchell, pastor of the Ralls church.Mrs. Williams succumbed at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. She had been in failing health several months.
The former Ollie Mae McClendon was born Jan. 22, 1902 in Marshall County, Alabama. She moved to Ralls in 1943 from Lubbock.
Following her marriage in 1923, Mrs.Williams moved to Plainview.
She and her family were founders of the First Assembly of God Church in Ralls. The church was organized in 1943.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Lubbock at the time of her death.
Survivors include three sons, George E. Williams of Muleshoe, Robert Lee Williams of Lubbock and Mark Anthony Williams of Amarillo; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lois House of Ralls and Mrs. Ollie Mae Wigginton of Albuquerque, NM; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Scott and Mrs. Maggie Tomerlin, both of Mineral Wells, Mrs. Lillian Alderson of Tulsa, Okla., and Miss Jessie B. McClendon of Abilene; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
