U.S.Flag RALLS (Special) - Masonic graveside services for James S. Williams, 65, of Ralls will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial is under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Williams died at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday in Veterans Administration Hospital in Amarillo after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Lorena and moved from Waco to Ralls area in 1946. He married Johnnye Mae Wheeler on Feb. 20, 1948, in Plainview. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had worked for the Texas Highway Department for 15 years and was a Crosby County commissioner from 1978 to 1990. He was a member of Emma Masonic Lodge No. 938 and First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ted J. of Ralls; a brother, A.D. of Lubbock; and a sister, LaVerne Neely of Bolivar, Mo.
