Services for Eva Mae Wigley, 78, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Faith Temple with the Rev. Rick Oliphint officiating. Burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. "Dolly" died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at UMC.
She was born Feb. 25, 1926 in Owens, Crosby County to James Clayton and Elsie Ines Lindsey Pevey. Dolly moved to Lubbock in 1968, and was employed at Rip Griffin's Truck Center Restaurant for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Gloria Jean Wigley; and brothers, Elmer Pevey, James Clayton Pevey Jr., and Charles Edward Pevey; and sisters, Thelma Carter, Mildred Louella Gilmore and Francis Louise Martin.
She is survived by her three sons, Stan and wife Elisa, David and wife Shirley, and Steve, all of Lubbock; four brothers, William Henry Pevey, Jimmy Lee Pevey, Roy Douglas Pevey and J.W. Pevey, all of Lubboc k; two sisters, Julia Fae Robinson of Lubbock and Merle Jean Cantrell of Levelland; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial to Faith Temple Anointed Word Family Church, 2408 78th St., Lubbock, TX 79423.
