Services for Margaret Ophelia Fuller Wheeler, 85, of Cone, was held Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 10:00 AM, at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls with the Rev. Ken Bevel and Rev. Larry Carson officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery Direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Margaret passed away Saturday night, January 29, 2005 at the Ralls Nursing Home. Margaret was born April 5, 1919 in Holland, Bell County, Texas to George Edwin Fuller and Lena Leona Calhoun Fuller. Her family moved to Crosby County in 1927.
Margaret attended school at Cone, then 2 years in Ralls, gradating from Ralls High School in 1937. On January 20, 1938 she married her childhood sweetheart, Silas Tom Wheeler. Margaret and Silas lived on their farm all of their life. She was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church. She was a charter organizing member of the Buffalo Grass Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Margaret and Silas shared an active life. They were always together, whether it be on the farm, traveling, gardening or just living a peaceful life at home in the country. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette Wilson of Ralls, a grandson, Rob Wilson of Dallas, a sister-in-law Jelora James of Ralls and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Silas on December 23, 2004, her son-in-law, George Wilson on November 10, 2004, one brother, Charles Fuller and five sisters; Hassie Lane, Lois Younts, Christine Poteet, Doris King and Mildred Foster.
