Obituary

RALLS (Special) - Services for Joyce Janell Weems, 45, of Ralls will be at 4 p.m. today in Emma Church of Christ with Elvin Upton, minister, officiating, and the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor of First Baptist Church assisting.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Weems died at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday in Health Sciences Center Hospital in Lubbock after a long illness.

The Kilgore native and longtime resident of Ralls married Don R. Weems on Jan. 1, 1953, in Ralls. She was a teacher's aide and a member of the Texas State Teachers Association.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Gladys Gilstrap of Ralls; two sons, Barry and Tim, both of Lubbock; a daughter, Kathi of Ralls; and a sister Lois Bower of Dallas.
