LORENZO (Special) Services for J.D. Webb, 71, of Lorenzo will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Boles officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born July 17, 1928, in Terry County. He married Mary Aycock on Jan. 6, 1946, in Portales, N.M. They owned Webb Nursery in Idalou for several years. He moved to Lorenzo from Willcox, Ariz., where he had farmed for 18 years. He had been a resident of Floydada. He was a farmer and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, MeLinda Susan Karnok of Athens, Ga. and Carol Kainz of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Donald of Lubbock and Roy Gene of London; a sister, Gladys Hancock of Seminole; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
