Valda Watson

RALLS — Graveside services for Valda O. Watson, 94, of Wolfforth will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

She died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002.

She was born Feb. 7, 1907, in Deer Creek, Okla., and married Roy Orval Watson on Aug. 28, 1929, in Pawhuska, Okla. He died Sept. 19, 1984. She was a former resident of Carrizozo, N.M., Abernathy, Hale Center, Post and Ralls. She was a homemaker and moved to Shallowater in 1979 from New Mexico. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Carrizozo, N.M., and the Order of the Eastern Star in Ruidoso, N.M.

Survivors include five sons, Max O. and Robert L., both of Carrizozo, Donald of Peralta, N.M., Galen of San Antonio, N.M., and Jack of Caballo, N.M.; a daughter, Betty Truelock of Shallowater; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the Shallowater First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 36, Shallowater, TX 79363.
