U.S.Flag   Graveside Services for Bill Wampler, 68 of Lubbock will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Bevel and the Rev. Dale Westbrook officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Bill passed away August 14, 2005 at his home in Lubbock.

He was born March 15, 1937 to Earl G. and Bessie (Bevel) Wampler in Hawley, Texas. On December 31, 1979 he married Mary Fay Walker in Dickens, Texas.

He graduated from Lorenzo High School in 1955. He served in the US Army from 1955 to 1958. He worked for Reynolds Aluminum for 11 years in Massena, New York and was Post Commander of the American Legion Post 739 in Brushton, New York. He moved to Lubbock in April of 2005 from Ralls. He moved to Ralls in 1971 from New York.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Earl and Bessie Wampler.

Survivors include; his wife Mary of Lubbock, 5 sons; Kelly Wampler of Crosbyton, Darin Wampler of Malone, New York, Gary Haney of Seattle, WA, Alan Haney of Lubbock and Royce Walker of Ralls, three daughters; DeeDee Riley of Lubbock, Cathy Duquette of Malone, New York, Becky Wampler of Ralls, a brother Bob Wampler of Austin, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
