RALLS (Special) -Services for John E. Walker, 88, of Hobbs, NM, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Emma Church of Christ with Milton Caraway, minister of Jefferson Street Church of Christ in Hobbs, officiating.

He will be assisted by Dennis May, minister.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 8:30 p.m. MST Sunday in Hobbs Health Care Center in Hobbs after an illness.

He was born in Omaha and moved to Ralls in 1939 before moving to Tahoka in 1958. He moved back to Ralls in 1968. He married Daisy Cason on Nov. 2, 1919, in Omaha. She died in 1987. He was a retired farmer and an elder at Emma Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, John E. "Buddy" Jr. of Tatum, NM; three daughters, Claudine Duncan of Hobbs, Nancy Mize of Ralls and Mildred McDermett of Snyder; a brother, Clyde of Hughes Springs; three sisters, Eva Combs of Midland, Aline James of Naples and Rachel Jones of Omaha; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and a great great grandchild.
