Rosary was said at 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, 2001 at St. Micheal´s Catholic Church.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 at her Ralls residence.
She was born Oct. 27, 1931 in San Marcos, TX.
She married Narciso "Jeep" Velez on Nov. 2, 1950 in Rochester, TX.
She was a member of St. Micheal´s Catholic Church and a homemaker. She moved to Ralls in 1950 from Rochester, TX.
Survivors include: her husband, Narciso "Jeep" Velez of Ralls; six sons, Rudy Velez of Pampa, Bobby Velez of Ralls, Raul Velez of Floydada, Rick Velez of Bryan, Ray Velez of Ft. Worth, and Ruben Velez of Jacksonville, FL.; six daughters, Lupe Minor of Ralls, Louisa Guadian of Ft. Worth, Barbara Renteria of Amarillo, Anita Navarro of Amarillo, Olga Guitron of Lubbock, and Amanda Micias of Ft. Worth; a brother, Julian Rodriguez, Jr. of San Marcos; two sisters, Adelia Rivera of Joiet, IL; 25 grandchildren.

Services for Narciso Amaya "Jeep" Velez, 87, of Ralls, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 24, 2009 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with Rev. Ernesto Lopez officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Rosary will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 23, 2009 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Jeep passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Covenant Lakeside in Lubbock. He was born March 25, 1922 in Brownsville to Juana (Amaya) and Serapio Velez. He married Guadalupe Rodriguez November 2, 1950 in Rochester, Texas. She preceded him in death November 29, 2001.
Jeep was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and was a supporter of various orphanages. He worked for Logan Buick-Pontiac-GMC in Ralls for 40 years. He moved to Ralls in 1949 from Rochester, Texas.
He is survived by six sons and their wives, Rudy and Vickey Velez or Pampa, Bobby and Silvia Velez of Ralls, Raul and Cynthia Velez of Lubbock, Rick and Alma Velez of Bryan, Ray and Loretta Velez of Ralls and Ruben and Julee Velez of Albertville, Alabama. Also Surviving him are six daughters and their husbands, Lupe and Epitanio Minor, Jr. of Ralls, Louisa and Abel Guadian of Fort Worth, Barbara and Richard Renteria and Anita and Carlos Navarro, both of Amarillo, Olga Guitron and Amanda and Ernest Macias, both of Lubbock, 28 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two sisters, Olga and Amanda.
Serving as casket bearers will be Abe Guadian, Jonathan Guadian, Matthew Rangel, Elazar Guitron, Jr., Kevin Velez, Justin Velez, Josh Velez, Jordan Velez, Stephen Velez and Ryan Velez.
