Angel Velasquez, 70, of Ralls passed away on January 17, 2015. He was born on October 2, 1944 in Ralls, Texas to Francisco and Juanita (Luna) Velasquez. He attended school in Ralls, Texas. He started his life of farming at a young age and continued until he no longer had the strength for the demands of the work. He lived his life the best he could. Angel worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed doing mechanic work and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He had many regrets but in the end he tried to make up for many of those things.
He is survived by his wife; Mary Velasquez of Ralls, four daughters; Lydia Salazar and husband Robert of Ralls, Linda Gonzalez and husband Osbaldo Jr. of Levelland, Angie Guzman and husband Paul of Crosbyton, Ernestina Martinez of Lubbock, two sons; Ricky Velasquez and wife Armin of Lubbock, Miguel Velasquez of Ralls, four brothers; Rudy Velasquez of Ralls, Francisco Velasquez Jr of Ralls, Vicinte Velaquez of Idalou, Fred Velasquez of Lubbock, three sisters; Olivia Escobar of Ralls, Susie Mendoza of Ralls, Ernestina Belyeu of Three-Rivers, nineteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Michaelís Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 20th at St. Michaelís Catholic Church in Ralls.
