Grady Lee Vaughan, the son of Thomas Edgar Vaughan and Birtie Mae Smyer, was born July 21, 1904, in Whitener, Madison County, Arkansas and died May 20, 1978 in Crosbyton, Crosby County, Texas. He was married about three months to a woman known only by the name of Louise. Burial was in the Ralls Cemetery on May 22, 1978.Obituary
Lee Vaughan, 73, a Crosby County resident since 1911, was buried Tuesday, May 23, in Ralls Cemetery following 2 p.m. memorial services in Emma Church of Christ in Ralls. Elvin Upton, minister, and Earl Schulz of Lubbock officiated.A retired farmer, Mr. Vaughan died at 8:30 p.m. May 13 in St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock.
The Whitner, Ark., native moved to his county in 1911 from Arkansas. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three brothers, Guy Vaughan and Smyer Vaughan, both of Ralls, and Clarence Vaughan of Andrews; and a sister, Mrs. Jewel Crowley of Booneville, Ark.
