Graveside services for Wilborn Ray Tucker, better known as Tuck, 80, of Ralls will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2006 in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Rev. Larry Carson is officiating.
Tuck passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at his home. Tuck was born Nov. 4, 1925 in Young County to the late Carl and Pearl (Lowhorn) Tucker. On Feb. 10, 1951 he married Jimmie Lee Wilson in Clovis, New Mexico.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He moved to Ralls in 1949 and was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church. He worked for GTE Telephone Company, retiring after 39 and 1/2 years. Tuck is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Roger Cypert; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Jimmie; a son, Rick Tucker of Post; a daughter, Rhonda Cypert of Lorenzo; 2 grandsons, Clint Cypert of Midlothian and his fiance, Lauren Culwell and Chance Cypert of Lewisville and his fiance, Sarah McMahan; a brother, Bob Tucker of Spearman; and 2 sisters, Violet Hornsby of Spearman and Sue Sloan of Canyon.
Tuck had an extended family of grandchildren, Jennifer and Brett Marshall, Dustin Simmons, Roger and Emma Marshall and Kolter Simmons.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Crosby County Veteran Memorial or the Lorenzo Senior Citizens.
