B.B. Travis Dies At Lubbock
Funeral services for B.B. Travis, 73, 1711 8th St., Lubbock, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Emma Church of Christ at Ralls. Burial was in Ralls Cemetery.
Travis, a resident of Lubbock since 1927, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday in a Lubbock hospital following a three-week illness. He was a retired painter.
Born in Bell county, Travis moved to Crosby county about 1910 from Knox City. He farmed and was public weigher at Ralls for about 12 years before moving to Lubbock.
Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. J.C. Reiver, El Paso, Mrs. C.J. Clifford, Amarillo, and Mrs. Reba McGuire, Lubbock; one son, D.T. Travis, Abilene; three brothers, Guy Travis, Kerrville, R.D. Travis, Ballinger, and J.D. Travis, Cone, and two grandchildren.
