Services for Annadelle Kirksey Townsley, 81, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Charles Foster Johnson officiating. Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

She died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at her home. She was born June 14, 1918, in Crosby County. She graduated from Robertson High School. During World War II, she became the first non-assembly line female employed by Consolidated Aircraft. She was in the photography business and farmed in Crosby County for 20 years.

She owned and operated a full service gas station in Lorenzo. She worked with collectibles and vintage costume jewelry for the last several years.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Pruitt, of Lubbock; and a grandson
