U.S.Flag   RALLS — Rosary for Claudio Torrez, 79, of Lubbock will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Michael´s Catholic Church in Ralls.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the same church with the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001.

He was born July 6, 1922, in Lockhart and married Guadalupe Vargas on Jan. 26, 1948, in Crystal City. He worked as a farmer for Sonny Watson for several years and moved to Lubbock in 1978 from Ralls. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Juan Torres of Lubbock; four sisters, Profiria Lopez and Christina Castillo, both of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Berlandis Herrera of Lovington, N.M., and Rosia Esquibel of Lubbock; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
