Obituary

RALLS (Special) - Graveside services for Ralph Tidwell, 82, of Big Spring will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Ralls Cemetery with William Eudy, minister of Crosbyton Church of Christ, officiating.

Interment will be directed by Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Tidwell died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1993, in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital.

He was born on July 9, 1911, in Spur and was married to Berty Cowley on March 21, 1935, in Dallas. The couple moved from Ralls to Big Spring in 1979. He was a farmer. A daughter, Diane Tidwell Corzine, died on April 4, 1970.

He is survived his wife.

Services for Berty Cowley Tidwell, 88, of Big Spring (formerly of Ralls) were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Ralls Cemetery with Bill Lyle officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

she died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999 at her niece's Lubbock residence.

She was born July 2, 1911 in Rogers, Bell County, TX.

She married Ralph Tidwell on March 21, 1935 in Dallas. He died Dec. 2, 1993.

She was a 1929 graduate of Ralls High School and was a ukelele girl in school. She moved to Ralls in 1919 with her family from Staples, TX. She moved to Ropesville, where she and her husband farmed until 1979 when they retired and moved to Big Spring.

She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Tidwell Corzine who died April 4, 1970, and by two brothers, Charley Cowley, Jr. who died May 28, 1981 and A.J. Cowley who died June 6, 1991 and by a sister Anne Johnson, October 15, 1992.

Survivors include three nieces, Claudia Cowley of Ralls, Jan Davidson of Lubbock and Simianne Hayden of Ft. Worth.
