Funeral services for John Henry Thomas, 84, will be held in a Ralls Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, Friday. Rev. E.N. Givens, Plainview, will officiate.

The elderly Crosbyton Negro died at 4:45 a.m. in his home here Monday. He had been in ill health for the past five years.

Son of John and Ella Thomas, he was born at Calvert April 21, 1878. After residing at Mart some years, he moved to West Texas 30 years ago.

He married Nettie Hinkles at Mart in 1910. They have resided in Crosbyton the past nine years.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Alex, Mart; six daughters, Ola Mae, Edna Gonzales, both of Lubbock; Gladys Gonzales, Ernestine Johnson, both of Lorenzo; Juanita Hardrick, Slaton; Louise Givens, Compton, Calif.; four sons, John Henry, Slaton; Marcellus, Oakland, Calif.; George, James, both of Lubbock; 40 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery.
