Jason ThomasJason Wilson Thomas died Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at his home in Lubbock.

A celebration of life service was at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 10, 2006 at the Ralls First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Horn officiating. Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Jason was born June 23, 1975 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He moved with his family to Ralls, Texas in 1981. He graduated from Ralls High School in May 1993, and attended Texas Tech University from 1993 to 1995. Jason transferred to West Texas A&M University in Canyon, where he graduated August 18, 2000 with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He attended California Western School of Law in San Diego during 2000-2001. Upon returning to Lubbock, he had taken courses in the MBA program at Texas Tech University, and currently had been taking leveling courses preliminary to entering Texas Tech School of Pharmacy.

Jason had been employed by Garrison Geriatric Education and Care Center in Lubbock, where he helped establish the Dementia Unit. He currently served as Assistant Director of Nursing at Carillon Senior Lifecare Community in Lubbock.

He is survived by his parents, John William and Mary Nell (Poteet) Thomas of Lubbock; two brothers, Derek (and Beverly) Thomas of Tampa, FL, and Jeremy (and Staci) Thomas of Wolfforth; his sister, Marci Thomas of Lubbock; his two dear nieces, Landrie Jane Thomas and Laynie Dell Thomas, of Wolfforth; his aunts and uncles, Anne (and Tom) Christian of Claude, TX, Jackie (and Tony )Clines of Robinson, TX, Rita (and Larry) Jernigan of Weatherford, TX, Troy (Smoky) Poteet of Lubbock, Jean Thomas and John DeJong of Lubbock, Nita (and Durwood) Vincent of Lubbock, and his beloved cousins: Cheryl, Frannie, Joe, Jon David, Justin, Lorie, Mary, Rit, and Suzanne.

Jason was a loyal and faithful family member, a proud and loving uncle, a steadfast and kind friend to many, and a tireless advocate for his patients. We will always remember how you touched our lives with true loving kindness.

Serving as casket bearers will be, Cheryl Riemer, Suzanne Hovey, Richard Christian, Lorie Tawney, Randy Nuttrall, Jon David Poteet, Jeremy Thomas, Derek Thomas, Joseph Lindsey and Clint Meyers.
