Services for Vesta Leora Brents Taylor, 92, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 1997, at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls with Ken Free, minister of the Emma church of Christ in Ralls officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Taylor died at 10:33 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, in the Crosbyton clinic Hospital following an illness.

She was born Oct. 25, 1905, in Stigler, OK, and married Charles Oren Taylor on Oct. 17, 1931, in Ralls. He preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1957. She was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. She moved to Ralls in 1919.

She is preceded in death by a son, Adrian Taylor who died June 15, 1984.

Survivors include two grandsons, Charles (Chuck) Taylor of Amarillo, and Greg Taylor of Lubbock; a brother, Travis Brents of Grandview; a sister, Gladys Reese of Ralls; and 5 great-grandchildren, Amy Taylor, Lindsey Taylor, Trevor Taylor, Jenny Taylor, and Nicole Taylor.

Pallbearers were Eldon Nipp, Arvil Lee Campbell, Greg Taylor, and Chuck Taylor.
