Service for Lena Tarleton, 83, of Ralls are pending with Carter-Adams Funeral Home.She died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 1989 at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Collin County. She married John Tarleton in 1924 in Denton County. He died July 24, 1989. She was a sales clerk and cashier at the Ben Franklin store in Ralls. She moved to Ralls in 1926. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a member of T.E.L. Sunday school class.
Survivors include a son, Houston of Lubbock; a daughter, Joy Herring of Hobbs, NM; a brother, Marvin Houston of Fort Worth; a twin sister, Lillian Wilson of Lubbock; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
