Services Held For James E. Swim at Ralls Sunday
Funeral services for James Edward Swim, 75, a resident of Ralls since 1923, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Apolistic Faith Church, Ralls.The Rev. Homer Coberly of Lubbock officiated, assisted by Rev. Tommy Allen, pastor of the Ralls First Baptist Church. Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home.
A retired trucker, Swim died last Wednesday in a Lubbock convalescent home. He moved to Ralls from Paris.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lonnie and Loys Swim, both of Ralls; and Johnny Swim of Ventura, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. John Odom of Ralls, and Mrs. Mac Osborn of Ruidosa, New Mex.; one brother, three sisters, 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
