Funeral services for J. N. Swanner, 58, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ralls Emma Church of Christ, with Creed Mullins, minister officiating.

Swanner died at 9 p.m. Friday in a Plainview nursing home, after an illness.

He had butchered in Ralls for more than 30 years. He was a native of Stephenville.

Survivors include a son Jerry of Fort Worth; a daughter Mrs. Bob Blankenship of Plainview, his father Henry of Fort Worth; a brother Albert of Fort Worth; and four grandchildren.

Burial was in the Ralls cemetery by Carter Funeral Home.
