RALLS (Special) — Services for Ray T. Surratt, 87, of Fritch will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Surratt died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 1994, in Borger Nursing Home.

He was born on Aug. 11, 1906, in Terrell County. He was a mechanic and played baseball for Texas farm teams in the 1920s and 1930s. He moved to Fritch two years ago from Arizona. He formerly lived in Ralls.

Survivors include a son, Walter George of San Francisco, Calif.; three daughters, Donna Keeton of Fritch, Carrol Ann Gill of Mandeville, LA, and Glenda Ray Daniel of Sun City West, AZ; three brothers, Joe and Travis, both of Odessa, and Guy of Ralls; a sister, Nadine Parrish of Commerce; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
