RALLS (Special) Services for Guy E. Surratt, 84, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Surratt died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1997, at Ralls Nursing Home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1912, in Fannin County. He married Beatrice Barker on March 30, 1933, in Lorenzo. He was a Baptist. He was a member of Ralls Volunteer Fire Department and Ralls Athletic Booster Club. He moved to Ralls in 1938.
He worked in grocery sales, and he operated a service station. A son, Robert Price Surratt, died Oct. 20, 1961.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Norma Ruth Ashcraft of Ralls; two brothers, Joe Layton and Travis Lewis, both of Odessa; a sister, Helen Nadine Pierce of Commerce; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Bea Surratt, 92, of Ralls, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009, at the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls, with Tim Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Bea passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in the Ralls Nursing Home.
She was born June 17, 1916, in Mt. Park, Okla., to the late James Robert and Ira Della (McNeely) Barker. On March 30, 1933, she married Guy Surratt, in Lorenzo. He preceded her in death on Jan, 22, 1997.
Bea moved to Ralls in 1938 and was a member of the Emma Church of Christ. She owned and operated the Mobil Station in Ralls and sold Avon. Bea had also been a Cub Scout den mother. She is preceded in death by a son, Robert Price Surratt, on Oct. 20, 1961, and a son-in-law, Bill Ashcraft, on July 9, 2008.
Survivors include a daughter, Norma Ashcraft, of Ralls; two grandchildren, Perry Ashcraft and wife, Melissa, of Ralls, Marcy Woods and husband, Steve, of Paris; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
