Funeral services for Mrs. J.A. (Ollie) Summerford of Ralls were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, in the First United Methodist Church of Ralls with the Rev. Wayne Wheeler, pastor, and the Rev. Jimmy Long of Lubbock officiating. Interment was made in Ralls Cemetery.Mrs. Summerford died the previous Monday at St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock after a brief illness.
She and John Asa Summerford were married in 1922 and moved to Ralls three years later from Snyder. Her husband died Dec. 22, 1967.
She is survived by two sons, Jack Summerford of Lubbock and Kenneth Summerford of Crosbyton; two sisters, Thelma Hardy of Brownfield and Nora Hall of Albuquerque, NM; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn A. Brakebill, on Dec. 19, 1978.
