Haskell Stephens

Haskell Stephens, 80, of Lorenzo died in Lubbock Methodist Hospital about 5 a.m. Thursday after a brief illness.

Services were held in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Fred Meek, pastor, officiated.

Burial was in the Ralls Cemetery with Carter Funeral Home in charge.

Stephens was a native of Weston. He had been a resident of Lorenzo since 1922. He came to Lorenzo from Pilot Point.

He is survived by three sons, Leonard of Ruidoso, Russell of Dallas, and Cecil of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Parks of Omaha; three brothers, O.D. of Ralls, Homer of Pilot point, and Claude of Buckeye, AZ; a sister, Mrs. Emery Beck of Ralls, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
