Graveside memorial services for Reno Clifford (R.C.) Stark Sr. were at 1 p.m. Friday in Ralls Cemetery. The Rev. Lee Fuller, pastor of First Baptist Church Ralls, officiated.

Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton was in charge of arrangements and interment.

Mr. Stark, 82, was a well known Crosby County resident before moving to Lubbock in June 1982.

He was claimed by death at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, in St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock. He suffered a stroke in February and another stroke Sunday prior to his death. Mr. Stark had been a resident of Lakeside Nursing Home since January.

Born April 5, 1902, in Comanche County, TX, he moved to Ralls about 1945 and later made his home in Crosbyton. He as a retired oil field worker.

The former Naomi Stapleton and R.C. Stark were married Sept. 21, 1924, in Hamlin. She preceded her husband in death March 28, 1981.

Survivors include one son, Reno C. Stark Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, A.F. (Fletcher) Stark of Crosbyton and Elmo Stark of San Angelo; two sisters, Veneta McLane of Bronte and Pearl Bellitte of Boulder, Colo.; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A daughter, Billie Frances Scardino, preceded her father in death.
