Services with Eastern Star rites for Georgia Ola Pittman Stark, 88, of Lubbock were held Thursday, August 17, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ralls with the Rev. Randy Bartley, pastor, officiating and Tim Ward of Brownfield assisting.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Monday, August 14, 2000 at IHS Hospital of Lubbock.
She was born July 7, 1912 in Floyd County.
She married Aubrey Fletcher Stark on June 9, 1933 in Petersburg. He died August 19, 1994.
She was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and attended Bacon Heights Baptist Church in Lubbock. She was a member of the Crosbyton Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and had been honored as a 50 year member. She served as Crosby County Jail Matron for many years. She moved to Lubbock on 1990 from Crosbyton.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Koleta "Keta" Roberts who died October 11, 1996.
Survivors include: a son, Aubrey Jr. of Lubbock, two daughters, Faye Allen of Long Beach, CA and Frances Matthews of Lubbock; five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Kenneth Witt, Kelly Roberts, Cody Stark, Eric Stark, Brian Copeland and Kelly J. Roberts.
The family suggest memorials to Meals on Wheels or Ralls Cemetery Association.
