Services for Clarence Thomas Starch, 74, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 1996 at the Ralls United Methodist Church with Rev. David Ray, pastor, and Rev. Howard Marcom, former pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Starch was pronounced dead at 7:05 p.m. Monday, September 8, 1986 at his residence 1 mile north of Ralls by Justice of the Peace Jim S. Travis, Judge Travis ruled death due to natural causes.

He was born October 1, 1911 in La Crosse, Wisconsin and moved to Ralls from La Crosse in 1917. He married Vera Patton August 8, 1936 in Ralls. He was a member of the Ralls United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and was on the administrative board. He had served as a delegate to N.W. Texas Annual Conference of United Methodist Churches. He was a member of the Senior Citizens' Board of Directors and was a song leader for senior citizens.

He was a former member of the Ralls school board and was selected Honorary Citizen for the Old Settlers Reunion in past years.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Starch of Ralls; one son, Wayne Starch of Lubbock; two daughters, Juana Colburn of Levelland and Carolyn Jordan of Ralls; one sister, Mabel Moe of La Crosse, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Kevin Ray Colburn and Teresa Ann Hinson, both of Levelland; David Wayne Starch, Stephen Clay Starch, Jennifer Kate Starch, all of Lubbock; and Kimberly Jordan and Nathan Jordan, both of Ralls.
