RALLS (Special) Graveside services for Robert A. Smithee, 78, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. H.E. Smithee, pastor of Winnsboro Assembly of God Church, officiating.Burial will be under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Smithee died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 1995, in Lubbock's University Medical Center.
He was born May 25, 1917, in Sharp County, Ark. He married Victoria Dziatlik on June 7, 1942, in Dover, Del. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and he was a former member of the Ralls Fire Department, the Ralls Jaycees and the Ralls Chamber of Commerce. He was a master mason and a member of the Emma Masonic Lodge 931. He was past president of the Ralls Rotary Club and Ralls School Board. He was commander of the American Legion in Ralls.
He graduated from Ralls High School and attended Army Radio School, Army Business School and the Army School of Applied Tactics. He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Fore during World War II. He owned Smithee Cleaners in Ralls. A son, Ronald G., Died May 12, 1969.
Survivors include a son, Robert W. of Lubbock, a daughter, Sandra Logmann of Schereville, Ind.; two brothers, Jennings of Idalou and H.E. of Winnsboro; and four grandchildren.

Victoria S. Smithee passed away on July 27, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas. Victoria was born Wiktoryja Dziatlik on March 23, 1920 in Manchester, N.H. to Bronislaw and Antonia Dziatlik. Vicky married Robert A. Smithee in Dover, Del. on June 7, 1942.
She was preceded in death by Robert in August 1995, and by son, Ronald G., in May 1969.
Vicky and Robert were longtime residents of Ralls, Texas, where their three children, Robert, Ronny, and Sandra, all graduated from Ralls High School. Robert owned and operated Smithee Cleaners for over 30 years before moving to Lubbock, where he retired from J.C. Penny at the South Plains Mall in Lubbock. Vicky worked for several years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and also retired in Lubbock.
Vicky is survived by son, Robert W. Smithee and wife Patricia of Lubbock; daughter, Sandra Logmann and husband Matt and son Ron Larcher of Schererville, Ind.; and granddaughters, Sarita of Dallas, Erica Loewe and husband Wade of Algonquin, Ill. and Victoria of Dallas.
Burial will be a private ceremony and under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
