Patricia Vorhies White Smithee passed away on December 12, 2012.
Patricia was born in San Luis Obispo, CA, on June 8, 1947 to Ralph M. and Sylvia Vorhies, both now deceased.
She graduated from California Polytechnic University (Cal Poly) and attended the University of Maryland where she received a Master's degree in Nutrition. Pat was a Registered Dietitian and served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Ireland Army Hospital at Ft. Knox, KY and the U.S. Army Hospital in Seoul, Korea. She married Robert W. Smithee in New Cumberland, PA, on October 31, 1973, and they moved to Lubbock, TX, in 1977. While in Lubbock, Patricia worked for the American Milk Producers, Inc., and in various consulting positions.
Patricia is survived by husband Robert W. Smithee, of Lubbock; daughter Sarita Smithee of Dallas, TX; daughter Erica Smithee Loewe and husband Wade of Carpentersville, IL; daughter Victoria Smithee of Dallas, TX; sister Lena Greenman of Fair Oaks, CA; and brother James M. Vorhies of Takoma Park, MD, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be a private ceremony and under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ralls, Texas.
