Services for Pauline Houston Smith, 82, of Lubbock were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998, in Bowman Chapel of First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Wiseman officiating.Burial was at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
She died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, in Lake Mead Hospital in Las Vegas, NV.
She was born July 22, 1916 in Broken Bow, OK. She married John D. Smith on Aug. 17, 1947, in Lubbock. She attended Ralls High School. She moved to Lubbock from Ralls in 1938. She was a manager for Olan Mills in Lubbock, and she was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Gloria Smith Conley of Las Vegas, NV; a son, Kenneth of Lubbock; two sisters, Hesta Powell of Lubbock and Exie Henry of Lake Travis; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
