Graveside services for Juanita McCauley Smith, 80, of Arlington were held Saturday, March 28, 1998, at 2 p.m. at the Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Floyd Haddock, retired Baptist minister from Lubbock, officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Smith died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 1998, in Harris Methodist Hospital SW, in Ft. Worth after an illness.

She was born Nov. 1, 1917, in Ft. Worth. She married Otis Marshall McCauley on Jan. 30, 1940, he died Dec. 31, 1963. She then married Clarence C. Smith on May 2, 1971, in Dallas. He died in July of 1982. She moved to Arlington from Crosbyton after the death of her husband. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield. She was a graduate of Crosbyton High School.

Survivors include a son, Gene McCauley of Arlington; a daughter, Ann Young of Ft. Worth; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
