Services for Jean D. Smith, 70, of Caldwell were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 1993, in the Ralls First Baptist Church with the Revs. Ron Brunson, pastor of New Covenant Church in Plainview, Alan Brunson, pastor of Alive in Christ Fellowship in Stephenville, and Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Smith died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 1993, in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 31, 1923, in Lorenzo. He married Christine Luce on Jan. 28, 1947, in San Angelo. He was a member of Ralls First Baptist Church and the Ralls Lions Club. He was a cotton ginner and a former member of the Texas Cotton Association. He was a former resident of Ralls, Lubbock and Caldwell.
