Rites Friday for Mother of Levelland Resident
Mrs. Ida Ann Lavinia Smith, mother of Mrs. Charles Hinson of Levelland, died Thursday afternoon at her home in the Maple community near Morton. She was 81 years old.Funeral Services were held Friday at 3 p.m. from the Ralls Assembly of God church. The Rev. A. Cockerell, of Petersburgh, officiated, assisted by the Rev. J. G. Strickland.
Burial was at the Ralls cemetery under the direction of Marr-Carter Funeral Home.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Forrest Storey, Ralls; Mrs. Charles Hinson, Levelland; And Mrs. Noel Ligon, Lubbock; two sons, Wilburn Smith, Ralls; and Joe Smith, Maple; one brother, Hardy Thorne, Corpus Christy; and one sister, Mrs. Bodie Aconley, Vancouver, B. C; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
