Funeral services for Andrew Nelson Sessom, 70 of Ralls will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls with Elvin Upton, minister and Douglas Lawyer of Del City, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Born Feb. 10, 1909, Sessom died at the Crosbyton Hospital Monday morning. He was a native of Menard County, moved from Bell County to Crosby County in 1920. He married Nellie Verett in Ralls Nov. 8, 1930. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife and one son, Darwin of Ralls, a daughter, Mrs. Sharon Reeves of Abilene; one brother, Clyde of Ralls; three sisters, Mrs. C.L. Lincoln of Graham, Mrs. J.W. Brandon of Ralls, and Mrs.O.B. Atchison of Amarillo; four grandchildren.

Services for Nellie Fern Verett Sessom, 90, of Ralls were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002 in the Emma Church of Christ with Rusty McLen and Stephen McDonald officiating.
Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.
Mrs. Sessom died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 in Ralls Nursing Home.
She was born to Charley and Maggie Verett on Dec. 23, 1911, in Montague County, TX. She moved to Fairview, TX, in 1917. She married Andrew Sessom on Nov. 8, 1930, in Ralls. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1979. They had lived in Cone, Lubbock and Owens before moving to Ralls in 1948. They farmed in the Ralls area from many years. She was a founding member of the Emma Church of Christ and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Reeves of Abilene; a son, Darwin Sessom of Ralls; two brothers, C.A. Verett of Abilene and Paul Verett of Dallas; a sister, Jean Pepper of Lubbock; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Children's Home of Lubbock, P.O. Box 2824, Lubbock, TX 79408.
