Services for Virgie Belle Sellers, 76, of Ralls was held at 4:00 PM, Friday, September 23, 2005 at the Ralls First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Brooks officiating. Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Virgie passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2005 in Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 13, 1929 in Paducah, Texas to O. R. "Pete" and Jewel (Defoor) Whatley. On September 23, 1947 she married William Clayton Sellers in the Methodist Church Parsonage in Ralls. She was a homemaker for 30 years helping with the family farm and dairy; when her sons all married she began nursing school in Lubbock and graduated May 20, 1976. She was a LVN at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital for 21 years working as a medications nurse. She was an officer of the Licensed Vocational Nurses Association of Texas.

She was a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church where she taught Children's Sunday School and Bible School. She was involved in United Methodist Women. Virgie attended her sons; sporting events and stock shows for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Preston Whatley and a granddaughter; Melissa Sellers.

Survivors include; her husband Clayton Sellers of Ralls, three sons and their wives; Aunie and Cheryl Sellers of Ralls, Kent and Vicki Sellers of Floydada, Bruce and Peggy Sellers of Ralls, two sisters; Loretta Fulton of Paducah, Clorene Henderson and husband Charles of Killeen, two brothers; Clendon Whatley and wife Mary of Bowie, Dalton Whatley and wife Eulinda of Burleson, 7 grandchildren; Brian Sellers and his wife Staci of New Home, Derek Sellers and Allison Sellers both of Lubbock, Emily Sellers, Denice Sellers, Monte Sellers and Wesley Sellers all of Ralls, 2 great grand children; Ashley and Devon both of Ralls.

Pallbearers were grandsons; Brian Sellers, Derek Sellers, Monte Sellers, Wesley Sellers and nephews; Michael Fulton and Mark Fulton.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Ralls First United Methodist Church P. O. Box 447 Ralls, Texas 79357.
