While in bathing at the Silver Falls Lake Saturday evening, Tom Scott, sixteen year old son of J.C. Scott of the Farmer Community was drowned.
It was said by a younger boy who was in bathing with Scott that he took the cramp and went down. There were no other bathers in at that time.
A call for help was given and it was only a short time until the body was recovered. Dr. Cagle and Dr. Scarborough were on the ground in fifteen or twenty minutes after it happened but all efforts to revive him were futile.
