Obituary

William O. Roye of Ralls died Saturday afternoon in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a brief illness. He was 82.

Memorial rites were at 2 p.m. Monday in the Ralls First Baptist Church, with interment made in Ralls Cemetery.

Mr. Roye and his wife, the former Ora Lee Reese, had made their home in Slaton for 30 years before moving to Ralls in 1973.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Herschel Roye and Vernon Roye, both of Ralls, and Conway Roye of Alvin; three brothers, John Roye of Dallas, H.G. Roye of Fort Worth, and S.L. Roye of San Angelo; a sister, Mrs. Bell Groves of Lampasas; eight grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

RALLS (Special) — Services for Ora Lee Roye, 97, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roye died at 6:24 p.m. Tuesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Coryell County and married William Ozice Roye on Aug. 1, 1915, He died on Jan. 22, 1977. She had worked at the Slaton School lunchroom and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Herschel and Vernon, both of Ralls, and Conway of Las Crusces, NM; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
