Werdna Lorene Rowse, 83, of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.
She was born on November 13, 1931 in Anton, TX to Ira and Eva (Odom) Phillips. She married Robert Frank Rowse in Clovis, NM on May 12, 1950. Werdna was very active and enjoyed camping with her family each and every year. She also loved fishing, quilting, and gardening and was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Rowse; and one great-grandchild, Kylee Marie Forrest.
She is survived by her two daughters; Darla Benson of Irving, TX; Brenda Megliola and husband Don of Carrolton, TX; her son; Charles Rowse of Lubbock, TX; five grandchildren; Jonathan Blake Benson ; Amber Nicole Yancey and husband Jeremy ; Jennifer Lauran Chisum;Justin Michael Chisum; and Jordan Taylor Chisum; and one great-granddaughter Emily Madison Yancey.
A visitation will be held from 10am-2pm on Monday, July 27 at Highland Baptist Church in Lubbock. Services will be held at 2pm on Monday, July 27 at Highland Baptist Church, with burial following in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home.
