Mass for Rodalfo "Rudy" Rivera, 68, of Ralls and Post, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with Rev. Ernesto Lopez officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the same church.
Rudy passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 while in the mountains of Colorado. He was born May 24, 1942 in Stamford, Texas, to the late Domingo "Sunday" and Delfina (Ramos) Rivera. Rudy was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. He worked for the Price Thomas Ranch as ranch foreman since 1979 and had lived on the ranch since 1948 when he moved to Crosby County.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Salvador "Silas" Rivera, Sr., in 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Eddy Rivera (Dora) of Acuff and Stephen Rivera (Lachon) of Ralls; one daughter, Melissa "Missy" Rivera of Ralls; five brothers, Gilbert Rivera (Janie) and Albert Rivera (Minnie), both of Ralls, Victor Rivera (Lupe) of Graham, Guy Rivera of Juarez, Mexico, and Roy Rivera of Diana; three sisters, Mary Rodriguez (Mike) of New Braunfels, Janie Reyna (Jose) of Houston and Sandra Rodriguez (Arturo) of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren, Kim, Leiana, Andrea, Kalleb, Ella and Christopher; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Nyah and Drake.
