Services for Cecil C. Reese, 63, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, 1989, in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Cain, pastor of Lubbock's Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.

Masonic graveside rites were in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 14, 1989, at his residence. Justice of the Peace L.J. Blalack ruled natural causes in the death.

Reed was born in Ralls and moved to Lubbock in 1973. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Billie Evitt Hammock in November, 1982 in Lubbock. He owned and operated Reese Service Station and Grocery from 1946 to 1952. He owned Cecil C. Reese Insurance Agency. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of the Scottish Rite and Khiva Shrine Temple. A son, Rudy, died in 1980. He was a member of Lubbock's Daylight Masonic Lodge and Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Rodney of Lubbock; three sisters, Gladys Ross of Houston, Eunice Short of Lubbock and Alma McBride Williams of Post; and four grandchildren.

Ester Nadine Reese, 81, of Shallowater formerly of Ralls passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side. A memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Ralls with Rev. Floyd Haddock and Larry Hemp officiating.

Ester was born September 26, 1931 in Spade, TX to the late Horace and Ruby (Hammitt) Pinkston. She married the love of her life Cecil Reese who preceded her in death in 1985; they raised their two boys here in Ralls. Ester was a stay at home mom until the passing of her husband, then she worked to support her family. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death her parents, her husband, one son, Rudy Reese in 1980, two brothers, John and Olan Pinkston.

Survivors include her son, Rodney and wife Velina Reese of Shallowater, one brother, Kelton and wife Dara Pinkston of Albuquerque, NM., seven grandchildren, Brandon Reese, Trennon Reese and Todd Reese all of Lubbock, Amy Reese Hammond and husband Brinson of Midland, Jeremy and wife Morgan Stephenson and Wesley Stephenson of Lubbock and Cassy Boettcher and husband Eric of Maryland, 11 great grandchildren, Ben and Sidney Reese of Lubbock, Madison Reese of San Angelo, Ashlyn and Seager Hammond of Lubbock, Kohl, Ava and Skyler Stephenson of Lubbock, Brendan, Kamden and Evan Boettcher of Maryland.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that Memorials be made to Hospice Care Center 3702 21st St, Lubbock TX 79410 or Joe Arrington Cancer Canter 4101 22nd Place, Lubbock TX 79410.
