Services for Marjorie R. Reed, 68, of Lubbock, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 1987 in the Ralls First United Methodist Church with Rev. George Estes pastor of Lubbock's Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Rev. David Ray, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reed died at 2:35 p.m. at her Buffalo Springs home following a lengthy illness. Justice of the Peace Arvin M. Stafford ruled the death due to natural causes.

She was born December 22, 1918 in Ralls, Texas and had lived all her life in Santa Fe, NM and West Texas. She was a housewife and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lubbock.

She married H.M. Reed, Jr. July 18, 1938 in Idalou, TX.

Survivors include her husband, H.M. Reed, Jr. of Lubbock; 1 daughter, Kay Reed Wilsher of Lubbock; 1 sister, Eleanor Huddleston of Ralls; 2 granddaughters, M'Lynda Owens of Austin, Stacy Rogers of Lubbock; 2 great grandchildren.
