U.S.Flag Services for James Dennis Reed, 73, of Dublin, TX, were at 3 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2000, at First Baptist Church in Ralls with the Rev. E.C. Chron officiating.

Burial was under the direction of Harrell Funeral Home of Dublin.

He died June 6, 2000, in Dublin.

He was born Nov. 12, 1926. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Miami. He was a long-time employee of General Aluminum Corp. in Carrollton. He retired from that company in 1995. After retirement he moved to Dublin to live with his son. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dublin.

Survivors include a son, Dennis of Dublin; a daughter, Joni Ellenwood of Denton; two brothers, Norman of Ralls and Edwin "Sam" of Weatherford; a sister, Frances Reed of Lubbock; a former wife, Joanne Reed of Garland; and three grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the International Myeloma Foundation, Attn. Susan Novis, 12650 Riverside Drive, Suite 206, North Hollywood, CA. 91067; the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
