Services for Nellie Ruth Reams, 89, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 1992 in Emma Church of Christ in Ralls with Vance Davis, minister, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reams died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 25, 1992, in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born Nov. 13, 1903 in Brookhaven (Bell County) and married Ernest Lee Reams on Nov. 27, 1921, in Ralls. He died on May 28, 1956. She moved to the Plains from Bell County as a young girl. She lived the majority of her life in and around Ralls. She was a cook for Cone, Farmer and Lorenzo school systems and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include four sons, Clyde Reams of Lubbock, Eldon L. Reams of Midland, Richard E. Reams of Wichita Falls and Marvin of Lorenzo; three daughters, Lee Ruth Goochey of Fort Worth, Mildred M. Phillips of Denton and Juanita Alexander of Plains; a sister, Loma Edwards of Lubbock; 27 grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers.
